About the Team
We are a mid-sized and growing team tasked with analyzing and synthesizing healthcare documents, which cover a range of policy types and topics. By providing our clients with real-time updates on the latest changes to medical and pharmaceutical policies across the US Healthcare landscape, we help reduce claim denials and ensure patients receive coverage for the therapeutics they need. We achieve this by taking a detailed and methodical approach to all document analysis, as well as through technology enabled solutions.
Position Summary
The vendor manager will be responsible for managing vendor activities and maintaining both new and existing vendor relationships. They identify suitable vendors, negotiate pricing, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations as per the Company’s expectations. They drive vendor compliance and delivery performance by streamlining compliance management and maintaining vendor scorecarding.
Role & Responsibilities
Foster and maintain long-lasting relationships with vendors, and serve as their primary point of contact
Regularly evaluate strategic fit by monitoring vendor usage and performance to ensure financial and operational objectives are met
Critically review vendor budgets and agreements to ensure vendor obligations and contractual terms are met
Provide coaching and feedback to vendors as required
Serve as an intermediary between vendors and internal stakeholders
Work cross-functionally to provide clear, consistent communication and direction to vendors
Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide regular and timely status updates
Conduct quality assurance on work delivered as required
Troubleshoot and facilitate resolution when quality errors are reported, outlining preventative and corrective actions
Review and approve vendor invoices, and validate alignment with contract terms and services
Create, update, renew and cancel contracts as required, including supporting the negotiation of pricing
Streamline and lead improvements to the vendor management process including onboarding, vendor compliance and tracking vendor performance
Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, work instructions and any applicable forms and templates that pertain to vendor management
Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide recommendations for change
On time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures governing access to confidential data
Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency
Conducts miscellaneous tasks or projects as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders
Ability to prioritize and manage tasks, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, priority shifting, and time-sensitive environment delivering high quality work with attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably including some vendor management experience
Experience building relationships and negotiating with vendors
Advanced Microsoft skills (emphasis on Excel skills)
