About the Team
The Business Intelligence (BI) Team is a rapidly growing, remote-first team focused on reporting U.S. healthcare insurance document changes to a diverse portfolio of clients, including leading pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostics companies. By tracking shifts in medical and pharmaceutical insurance policies across the U.S. healthcare system, we empower our clients with the insights they need to navigate complex challenges and strategically plan for the future. Position Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst II role is an intermediate-level position responsible for independently delivering business intelligence solutions and contributing to the technical growth and operational effectiveness of the BI Team. This role applies best practices across dashboard development, data transformation, quality assurance, deployment, and troubleshooting while supporting the scalability, sustainability, and accuracy of BI solutions.
The BI Analyst II reports to the BI Team Lead and works with moderate autonomy on projects and collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective reporting and visualization solutions. This role also contributes to improving technical processes, mentoring junior team members, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
Role & Responsibilities
Core BI Development & Delivery
Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards and reporting solutions from scratch
Enhance existing dashboards and reporting workflows for usability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, Commercial Operations, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and align deliverables with business goals
Troubleshoot dashboard, visualization, and data pipeline issues while coordinating resolution activities across teams as needed
Data Quality, Governance & Standards
Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of reporting outputs
Ensure adherence to SOPs, data governance standards, and corporate policies related to confidential information and data handling
Conduct peer reviews of dashboards, SQL queries, and related technical deliverables to ensure
quality and consistency
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
Proactively identify opportunities for workflow improvements, automation, and optimization of BI processes
Support departmental objectives related to scalability, technical quality, process improvement, and operational efficiency
Contribute to deployment, UAT, and release activities following established departmental standards and processes
Documentation & Technical Enablement
Develop and maintain reusable code snippets, templates, and technical documentation
Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing support to junior team members
Additional Responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications
Education & Professional Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline, or equivalent focused professional experience
2–4 years of experience working with BI or analytics tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI)
Experience working with large datasets and relational data structures
BI, Data & Technical Skills
Strong working knowledge of SQL and data querying concepts
Understanding of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles
Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript
Understanding of data validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization concepts
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and tools such as AWS Athena, AWS Glue, or AWS
Redshift is considered an asset
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities
Ability to independently manage and deliver BI development tasks with attention to detail and
quality
Ability to effectively debug, troubleshoot, and problem solve using documentation, support
resources, and collaboration with technical teams or vendors
Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and
align solutions with business objectives
Experience coordinating across multiple teams to ensure timelines, deliverables, and
stakeholder expectations are managed effectively

Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and processes
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and process improvement
Industry Knowledge
Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system, including payer policies, reimbursement structures, and healthcare market access concepts, is considered an asset.
